1. How often do we get updates?
Our policy is to send pictures and/or videos on a daily basis. Some clients prefer only once or twice per stay, some don’t feel they need any, and some love getting them daily. That’s totally up to you.
2. Do I have to bring my own food?
That depends. Because of sensitive tummies, unless your pet is staying for more than three weeks, we do require that you bring your own food.
3. Do you have breed restrictions?
Unfortunately, the answer to that is yes. Every dog is required to have a "Meet and Greet" appointment prior to their stay, where we check for temperament, and any signs of aggression towards other dogs or people. If you are not sure whether your dog falls in that restricted category, please contact us.
4. Are there any incentive programs or discounts for repeat clients?
We offer a referral program!
If you refer a client who books four or more nights, after their stay you will receive a free night of boarding or a full day of daycare for one of your own pets!
5. Do the dogs get to roam freely around the farm?
We have 7+ acres. They absolutely will have lots of room to run, play fetch, ball, or chase each other around, but always under a watchful eye. We don’t let our pups out to roam without us, so we’d never let yours out either.
6. How Often is the Drinking Water Changed?
Water bowls with fresh water are accessible 24/7, unless a client request for us to limit the amount of water their pup drinks. Bowls are cleaned two to three times a day, and refilled with fresh water as soon as it starts getting low.
7. Is there webcam access to my dog?
This is a great modern feature that’s growing in popularity, especially with big kennels. But that is NOT us. We are a small, family-owned business. This is our home. Your dogs are not kenneled. We cater to our clients. You’re dropping your dog off at ‘his second home.’ That’s the feeling we want our clients to walk away with when they hug their fur babies goodbye.
We provide videos and pictures as often as the client desires, and post daily on our Facebook page. Our hope and goal is that you feel confident enough after meeting us that your fur baby will be treated as family.
8. Why do I have to show proof of vaccinations?
While we understand that not all boarding facilities require proof of vaccinations, we do. Not only because we are required to for insurance purposes, but the risk of infectious disease and intestinal parasites would be much higher with unvaccinated dogs, in addition to county ordinances requiring dogs to have rabies shots. It is also highly recommended that all dogs be on both flea, tick and heartworm prevention.
9. How far in advance should I book?
If you have dates in mind, even if it is a few months down the road, call or message us and we can pencil you in after you've had your Meet and Greet. (Please refer to our cancellation policy).
Again, we are not a huge kennel, and adhere to strict guidelines when it comes to the intake of dogs, so it’s easy to fill up quickly, especially during the holidays, spring break, and summer months. We already have bookings for the summer of 2024.
10. Does my dog have to be neutered and/or spayed?
All dogs are required to be spayed and neutered, unless they are under 5 months old. An exception may be made under very special circumstances. *Additional fees may apply. Please contact us to discuss this further.
